I was born to muggle parents in America. I was surprised to receive my letter from Ilvermorny, but I soon realized that the American wizarding community was not for me and I transferred to Hogwarts in my third year. The Sorting Hat debated for a while between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw (I thought I would be in Hufflepuff), but it eventually put me in Ravenclaw. This proved correct as I soon fell in love with learning. I received 9 OWLs, including 4 Os (History of Magic, Transfiguration, Astronomy, Charms), 3 EEs (Ancient Runes, Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures) and 2 As (DADA, Potions). I also made the Ravenclaw Quidditch team in my sixth year as a beater. By my NEWT years I became especially interested in the deep nature of magic. I explored several careers, eventually getting a part-time apprenticeship during my 7th year in the Department of Mysteries to research spell development, but it just didn't satisfy. After Hogwarts, I found another apprenticeship, this time under a wandmaker in Diagon Alley. I learned the basics of wand lore and construction, and the wandmaker sent me across the world to search for new or unknown wand components. After several pestering letters, the Hogwarts Headmaster allowed me to teach a survey course in wand lore to Hogwarts students. So here I am, a couple years out of Hogwarts, making wands, traveling the world, and teaching. My wand is of beech wood with a unicorn hair core, 12 inches, and supple. I originally had a Barred Owl in school, but she soon after leaving Hogwarts. I currently have another pet, a Raven named Muninn, that I found while traveling in the north of Norway. What I want most is to forever continue my magical learning and use this learning to help the magical (and muggle) communities.
